After training in Fine Art Ashley became a painter. He formed a cooperative with a group of artists based in Birmingham and went on to create the Works Gallery, a not-for-profit platform that provided graduate art students with exhibition space and support for continuing their work. After a few years exhibiting and as a visiting lecturer Ashley left fine art to become a production manager in a large media firm.

After a company buy out Ashley left media to embark on his photographic career and has never looked back. Working with clients including Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Media, Motorola, Nestlé and Proctor & Gamble Ashley has developed a broad range of skills within the field of photography.

A love of architecture and interior design photography has led Ashley to gain many commissions in this area and his quality Virtual Tour photography has been used by Nandos, Subway, KFC, Knight Frank and the Virgin group.
